Take the time to read, understand and practice these CANDLE BURNING SAFETY guidelines to ensure your experience is a pleasurable one.

 
BASIC SAFETY - ALL TYPES OF CANDLES
  • NEVER LEAVE A BURNING CANDLE UNATTENDED!
  • Burn only on heat resistant surfaces.
  • Place candles on secure furniture and keep candles out of reach from children and pets.
  • Do not burn on or near flammable objects such as curtains, lampshades, blankets, etc.
  • Never move a burning candle.
  • Keep candles away from drafty areas.
  • Trim wicks to 1/4" before each lighting for clean, even burning and to prevent a smoking candle.
  • Keep candles free from foreign objects.
  • Never spray an aerosol can near an open flame.
 
PILLAR CANDLES
  • Remove all packaging before lighting.
  • Candle may drip, so burn on a non-porous heat resistant container to catch molten wax.
  • Burn at least one hour per inch of candle diameter each time the candle is lit to ensure the best burning efficiency.
  • Discontinue burning when less than 1/2" of your candle remains.
  • Burn candles no longer than 4 hours per lighting.
 
JAR/CONTAINER CANDLES
  • Remove all packaging and place candle on heat resistant surface.
  • Never allow flame to touch glass surface.
  • Burn at least one hour per inch of candle diameter each time the candle is lit to ensure the best burning efficiency.
  • Do not burn if container is cracked.
  • Discontinue burning when less than 1/2" of wax remains at the bottom.
  • Burn candles no longer than 4 hours per lighting.
